Udupi: Locals Nab 2 Bihari Men - Cheating Women in Guise of Polishing Jewellery

Udupi, 23 Jan 2013: The locals’ nabbed two men from Bihar who were cheating women by giving a new look to their jewellery in the locality of Mudugiliyar that comes under the jurisdiction of Giliyar gram panchayat, near Brahmavar, here on Monday January 21.

 
The locals nabbed thirty-two-years-old Lalan and thirty-two-years-old Harmindar, who have cheated Kalavati Hande, a native of Mudigiliyar, near here on Monday at 11.30am.

 

 
The duos assured Kalavati, that they will give a new look to both gold and silver jewellery.  Kalavati trusting the duos gave her two bangles weighing 2 sovereign pounds.  The duos dipped the jewellery in a mixture and returned her by wrapping in a piece of paper.  They did not charge any money.

 
Meanwhile, when Kalavati opened the wrapper, she found the jewellery has changed its colour.   She raised an alarm, by then the duos fled from the scene.  The neighbours chased the duos and managed to nab them.

 
The locals thrashed the duos and handed over to the custody of Kota police.
