Mangalore: NSS volunteers of Govt First Grade College, Haleyangadi visit old age home

Mangalore, 10 December 2012: In order to create awareness regarding development in the society and to understand the problems of the aged a visit to the old age home was organized for the NSS students of the Government First Grade College, Haleyangadi  on December 8, 2012.The students visited Dr. Giridhar Rao Sanjiv Bhai vriddashrama at Kodialbail Mangalore and interacted with the senior citizens in the old age home.

There were 60 NSS volunteers accompanied by NSS Programme Officer Mr. Santhosh Pinto Shirthady and other faculty members Mr. Raghuraj and Mr. Sheenappa. The students gave a cultural programme and distributed fruits and eatables to the inmates. The secretary of the vriddashrama Mr.Shreenath Hegde was present for the occasion.
