Mumbai: REACH celebrates its anniversary

Mumbai, 07 Nov 2012: REACH (Ready to Educate and Accept Challenges of Humanity) a registered social organisation of Mira Road celebrated its anniversary on 2nd Nov 2012 at Green Meadows, Sheetal Nagar, Mira Road. "Konkani Purvozanchem Daiz" is the major project of the organisation that work for the revival of Konkani Culture and Traditions. They conduct "ROCE" programmes of Konkani speaking people in a traditional manner introducing the traditional values and articles that are mostly in extinct today.

 

The programme started with a traditional welcome of "Pan Podd - Udok". Slide shows were shown about various activities of past one year of the association. The chief guest of the programme Fr. Dominic Vas appreciated the tasks of the association and expressed his happiness about its fast growth. Recently elected local corporator Mrs. Merlin D’Sa, Konkani compere Clament Lobo, Philomena Lobo, Divo Editor Lawrence Coelho, Mrs. Suzan Coelho, Konkani artist Harryboy, "Krista Jivit" fame Konkani worker Lawrence Castelino, dramatist Molly Lobo were also present at the occasion.

 

 

 

Merlin D’Sa proposed vote of thanks, Michael Fernandes compered the programme beautifully. Programme ended by singing the anthem of the organisation.
