Ganeshothsava celebrations in Mudarangadi

Shirva, 21 September 2012: God has created this beautiful nature and has given us in it everything that we need. He lives in the soul of everyone and when we activate our soul and remember him we can feel him. Thanking the Lord who is our saviour from the difficulties and living as per his guidelines is the life, said Mudarangadi St Francis Xavier Church Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Luis D’Sa.

 

He was speaking during his asheervachana in the 24th year Sri Ganeshothsava religious function organized by Public Ganeshothsava Samiti on Wednesday in Mudarangadi. Speaking further he said that, this feeling has to be implemented in our mind, in the families and at home, so that we can build the better society and the country.

 

 

Teacher / Journalist B. Pundalika Marathe who presented the religious lecture said that, the Ganeshothsava platform is not just limited for religious activities, but this should be the thinking platform for shedding the light towards patriotism, culture, social situation and the issues eating our country. Ganeshothsava platform should be inspirational towards building a society free from terror and corruption, he said.

 

 The program was presided over by Ganeshothsava Samiti President Sunilraj Shetty, who welcomed the guests and the gathering. Chief guest Mudarangadi Milk Producers Association President Sukumara Shetty was present on the dias. On this occasion achiever students Kumari Chandana who secured 4th rank in Medical CET exams and Madhava Hegde who is the gold medalist in IIM / MBA (on his behalf his mother Prema Hegde) were felicitated.

 

Winners of various competitions were given prizes. Deviprasad conducted introduction of the winners. Shradhanjali was offered to Sri Ganeshotsava Founder President K. Krishna Shetty and Patron S. Jayaram Shetty who both passed away recently. Krishna Shetty’s family who have offered silver cover costing rupees 35 thousands and Donor Purushothama Nayak who provided permanent roof to the building were thanked on the occasion.

 

Secretary Divakara Shenoy read the report. Umesh Acharya compeered the program. Vedamurthy P. Madhava Acharya Alumbe led the religious ceremonies. Pilar Anganavadi students and the public conducted various comedy skit entertainment programs. Udupi Rangabhumi artists presented “Kalachakra” Tule social drama, which concluded the program.
