Shirva: Kuthyaru Yuvaka Mandala, a role model

Shirva, 18 May 2012: Kuthyaru Yuvaka Mandala which was established 50 years ago with service as its objective,  have successfully responded to the needs of public and organized invited expert medical consultants from the twin districts under one roof thus providing service to the public, hence Kuthyaru Yuvaka Mandala, a role model for the meaningful programs, said Udupi Jilla Panchayath President Katpadi Shankara Poojary.


 
He was speaking upon inaugurating the free medical checkup and voluntary blood donation camp, held in Kuthyaru Bhargava Bhavana on the occasion of Golden Jubilee of establishing Kuthyaru Yuvaka Mandala on Sunday. He said that the blood donation is the greatest donation, with blood the health of others can improve and gives life and it is impossible to manufacture blood in any laboratory, he said.

 

 

 

In his introductory note former Kuthyaru President Kuthyaru Prasad Shetty briefed on the establishment of Yuvaka Mandala and its objectives. Dentist and Former Rotary President Dr. Gururaj briefed on the fecilities available in the camp. Shirva Rotary President Ronald sequeira, Shri Parashurameshwara Kshethra Trustee Shambudasa, Golden Jubilee Committee Secretary Jinesh Ballal, Bagga Poojary, Umesh Kotyan, Udupi district Blood Bank Medical Officer Dr. Sharath Kumar, Dr. Nelli Nazareth, Dr. Shalini Pandit were present on the dias.


 
The program was presided over by Kuthyaru Grama Panchayath President Nityanadna R. Shetty. Suresh Kumar compeered the program. Sampath Kumar proposed vote of thanks. In the camp expert consultants Dr. Dheeraj Shetty, Dr. Vijayalaxmi, Dr. Jayaram Shetty, Dr. Hrashikesh Amin participated. Free eye testing, free spectacles distribution, orthopedics, gynecology, medicine, heart check up, ECG, ENT, Dental checkup, pediatrics tests were conducted.


 
More than 500 people participated in this medical camp and made use of this provision. In the voluntary blood donation 40 unit blood was collected. 120 people were given spectacles and 20 persons were selected for heart related surgery.
