Allah ke bandhe hasde Jo, Allah ke bande……… lines that soothe your inner turmoil and make you feel an Allah ka Bandha, the singer rendering these lines is none other than Kailash Kher. If you ever wandered in the country side, you may come across folk singers with a high pitch voice, and when they sing the need for a vocal microphone never exists. The voice is distinct and melodious, almost compels you to listen.

 
Kailash Kher has just arrived in Toronto, Canada performing his ever first live rock concert open air with his band Kailasa.

 
A press conference was held at Manchurian Madurai, Mississauga. Kailash Kher belongs to a clan of singers with a distinctive Indian folklore style. Inspired by Qawwali singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and classical musician Pandit Kumar Gandharva his career started singing jingles for TV and Radio commercials. His unique voice came into focus in the very first commercial rendered by him. However, opportunity to sing for films came after a struggle and the first break was for the film Andaaz (new). The song ‘Rabba Ishq Na Hove’ didn’t get rave reviews, but ‘Allah ke Bande’ the song from the little known film ‘Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part ll, bought him instant recognition.

 
The singer has an incredible distinction of rendering songs in 14 different languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Oriya, Bengali, Sindhi, Bhojpuri, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, and Konkani, apart from the 200+ songs sung for Hindi films. The recent successes include Kannada song ‘Hale Patr’ for the movie ‘Junglee’ and Ekka Raaja Raani for the film ‘Jackie’. With over 300 concerts to his credit, including 70 in USA and Canada, Kailash Kher is back in Canada with his live rock performances.
