Shirva: Associations are symbol of progress - Seer

Shirva, 28 April 2012: When the young minds who respond to the overall development of the village get together, the transformation is possible. The role of the associations is enormous in providing the people’s requirements in education field, culturally and socially with their contribution for Education, roads, drinking water, hospital etc. So the associations are the symbol of the progress, said Udupi Adamaru Mutt Shri Vishwapriya Theertha Shreepada.
He was speaking in his aheervachana during the annual day celebrating of Kunjarugiri Spandana Kala Vedike and Shree Kunjaru Girija Higher Primary School Kunjaru on Thursday. Speaking further he said that the youngsters should never hurt the feelings of the elders and the elders must always appreciate and encourage the good works of the youngsters, he said.
The program was presided over by Jilla Panchayath President Katapadi Shankara Poojary, who in his speech said that, Kunjarugiri Spandana is not just an association, but it is doing the great works by responding to the needs of the people and arranging the facilities from the various departments of the government and providing them to the people, he said.
Udupi Taluk Panchayath President Kattingeri Devadasa Hebbar, Kukkunje Nagapatri Vedamurthy Nagananda Vasudeva Acharya, Udupi Taluk Janajagrati Vedike President Naveen Ameen Shankarapura conveyed their congratulations on the occasion. On this occasion “Telikeda Bolli” Devdas Kapikadu and Sharmila Kapikadu couples were felicitated by Vedamurthy Nagananda Vasudeva Acharya.
Association Founder President Madhusoodan, Parthasarathi, Donors Victor were honoured by Seer. School management committee President Rajivi B. Shetty was present on the dias. School Headmaster Sudhakara Shetty read the report of both the organizations. Association Hon. President Trustee Harikrishna Punarur was present in function.
Spandana President Shrinivasa Bhat welcomed. Teacher Ambarish read the list of winners. Hon. Advisor B. Pundalika Marathe compeered the program. Secretary Ravi Kulal proposed vote of thanks. School children presented cultural programs. Mangalore ‘Chaa Prka’ team played “Kala Kambula” drama.
