Udupi: Health, Family Welfare Doctors Awarded

Udupi, 23 April 2012: District Health and Family Welfare Department and National Rural Health Department jointly organized the district level awarding ceremony at Hotel Kidiyoor Roof Top on Saturday. 3rd Finance committee President A.G. Kodgi gave away the awards and said that, if the work is done with dedication and honesty, then the people will get the benefit of it. Today there is no shortage of money, but there is shortage of honesty, he said.

 

Udupi Jilla Panchayath President Katapadi Shankara Poojary inaugurated the program. The program was presided over by Udupi MLA K. Raghupathi Bhat. Chief guests present in the programs were; Jilla Panchayath Vice President Jyothi Seetharama Shetty, District Surgeon Dr. Ananda Nayak, State Government Doctor’s Association Udupi Branch President Dr.
Sudhirchandra Sooda and District Government Employees Association President Subrahmanya Sherigar.

 

 

21 best serving Consultants and Medical Officers of the district in 2011 – 12 were given awards and were felicitated. Chara received the best Sub Health Centre award, Bailoor received the best Primary Health Centre award, Kundapura received the best Taluk Hospital award and Udupi Hospital received the best District Hospital award. District Health and Family Welfare Medical Officer Dr. Ramachandra Bayari welcomed and presented introductory note.
