Karkala: Summer camp a platform for children

Karkala, 20 April 2012: The various hidden talents in children gets identified and explored when they get suitable training and platform. The summer camps compliment the knowledge and also the personality development of the children, said Shri Kshethra Laxmipura Shri Adishakthi Mahalaxmi Temple Managing Trustee Narayana Gavalkar.
He was speaking upon inaugurating the five days ‘Personality Development Camp’ for High School and Pre University students at Shri Adi Shakti Mahalaxmi Temple premises in Hirgana, Karkala on Tuesday. The camp was jointly organized by Rajapura Saraswatha Brahmana Sangha Laxmipura, Saraswatha Learning Foundation (USA) and the Temple.
The inaugural program was presided over by Rajapura Saraswatha Sangha President T.A. Jagadish Nayak. Chief guests present were Saraswatha Learning Foundation Director Sadananda Madkekar Managalore, Ashwathanarayana Bhat MCF, Rajapura Saraswatha Youth Association Convener Ashok Nayak Hirgana and Sangha Vice President Upendra Borkar.
Sangha Secretary Balakrishna Nayak welcomed the guests and the gathering. Madhava Nayak compeered the program. Mohini Bai coordinated. Nityananda Nayak proposed vote of thanks. Resource person Sanjeeva Devadiga briefed the campers on the topic ‘me within myself’. Before noon Yoga training was conducted by Yoga Teacher K. Devendra Nayak Theerthahalli.
Journalist B. Pundalika Marathe Shirva gave lecture on the traditions of Saraswaths, Mother tongue and healthy thinking. Teacher Nityananda Nayak gave live information of handicrafts. Everyday Bhajane, devotion, lecture, future education, sports, cultural activities and folklore arts training programs will be conducted.
