Mumbai: 1500 witnessed VKWA Konkani Fiesta

Mumbai,09 March 2012: More than the 1500 people witnessed KONKANI FIESTA organised by VASAI KONKANI WELFARE ASSOCIATION (Regd) recently at Sai Nagar Ground, VASAI WEST.
Kevin Misquith, Kenny Zuzarte and Rayan D’Souza entertained the crowd with the melodious songs. "KONKANI KOLAVARI DI" composed and sung by Rayan D’Souza was a special attraction. JESUS TOUCH ME GROUP performed fascinating dances. "Eksuri Bail" Konkani Drama Written by Arun Raj Rodrigues and Directed by Christopher D’Souza was presented by Kalakul Repertory of Mandd Sobhann Team, Mangalore.
24 meritorious students of the association were honoured during this occasion. Francis Fernandes Cascia, Harryboy Vakola, Merlin D’Sa Mira Road, Fr. Ozy Gonsalves, Vicar General Fr. Nazareth Gabru, Fr. Francis Dabre, Robert Menezes were guest during the occasion. President Stephen Fernandes, Tresurer Reginald Santhmayar were also present at the dais.
Secretary Ancy Paladka compered the stage programme. Model Bank Director Clament Lobo compered the entire programme beautifully.

| More than 1600 people attended the VKWA is indeed an indication that the love for konkani is every growing. Organizing a konkani event in Bombay is not easy and that also large number of people attending the event is icing on the cake. Hats off to you organizers, the set up, dances and songs must have been enjoyed by all for sure.
