Udupi, 07 March 2012: In the Udupi – Chickmagalur lokasabha by election there is no triangular contest, here JDS is not in count, it is direct contest between Congress and BJP. JDS State President Kumaraswamy has launched their candidate to defeat Congress, but this bad thought will not be successful, forecasted Congress leader Jahardhana Poojary. After conducting the padayatra for Congress party in Udupi, he was speaking in the news conference.
If they have thought to break the votes of democratic party like Congress and make BJP win, then it is foolishness. The voters exactly know what JDS is, who joined hands with BJP for power. So it is only a dream of breaking the votes of Congress by launching the JDS candidate, he said. There is no government in the state, if it was there then there would not have been attack on the media in Bangalore recently. The police department has become inactive. Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda lacks experience and listens to Yeddyurappa. Ministers are not in control at all, criticized Poojary.
Former Minister Shriramulu had said that he gave rupees 200 crores to Yeddyurappa as party fund. This is the first offence, receiving it by Yeddyurappa is the second offence. As per the law, in this election a candidate can spend maximum 10 lakhs rupees. But Yeddyurappa has violated the law and has spent 200 crores, which is a huge offence. Taking the statement of Shriramulu as the proof, the Income tax Officers should file case against Shriramulu and Yeddyurappa, urged Poojary.
In the news conference Congress leaders; K.P. Nanjundi, Bose Raj, Harikrishna Bantwal, Ashok Kumar Kodavoor and others were present.
Answering a question, Janardhana Poojary said that, Yeddyurappa has lost his mind, gives different statement every day. He may want to be in power, and for this he may want to join congress. But there is no question of him joining Congress Party. Even if the High Command decides to take him, this Poojary will not allow, I will oppose it. Do not need people like Yeddyurappa in Congress Party, said Janardhana Poojary.

1. After Padayatra? Don t see any sweat. they all look like alighted from air-conditioned cars. 2. I conclude that political leaders, from all three major parties in the fray, are focused only on fault-lines of others. Negative propaganda works? Nothing positive to offer? |
