Vidit Shetty Among Top Ten Students in the World Maths Day Contest

Doha, 14 April 2010: Master Vidit Shetty (11), son of Mr. Amarnath Shetty Mulky and Mrs. Sharmila Shetty, studying in Dukhan English School, Qatar Petroleum, Qatar, made his parents and school proud by being ranked among the top ten students in the Middle East in the World Maths Day contest held on 3rd March 2010.
Master Vidit scored 24,068 correctly answered questions which enabled him to secure the Silver Medal. The World Maths Day event was hosted by Mathletics Australia. Approximately 1.2 Million students participated in this prestigious event which is a world record. Earlier in 2009, Master Vidit was also ranked 31st in the world in the World Maths Day competition in the age group of 9 to 13.
