Mangalore: Two daylong Muller Health Expo-2012 inaugurated

Mangalore, 20 January 2012: Two daylong Muller Health Expo-2012 was inaugurated in Father Muller Charitable Institution campus on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 9.30 am by Dr. Harish Kumar, Commissioner of Mangalore City Corporation. The Health Expo-2012 is being organized by Father Muller College of Nursing as part of silver Jubilee celebrations.
Following the prayer song, the Principal of Father Muller’s College of Nursing (FMCON), Rev. Sr. Winnifred D’Souza welcomed the guests. Director of the Nursing College-Rev. Fr. Patrick Rodrigues, Administrator Rev. Fr. Denis D’Sa and Convener Mrs. Vasantha G were n the dais.
Speaking at this occasion, Dr. Harish Kumar Said that health care has received minimum importance as people are more concerned in making money and more money. He emphasised on the fact that individuals should aim at healthy mind in a healthy body. He also made an appeal to the nurses to treat their work as a noble service rather than a mechanical job.
In his presidential message, Rev. Fr. Patrick Rodrigues, Director of FMCON outlined the various activities that would be undertaken during the two daylong ’Muller Health Expo-2012’ and explained the role of the nurses in looking after and taking care of the patients.
A large number of nursing colleges from near and far are participating in the ‘Muller Health Expo-2012’. There is a display of various aspects of different diseases and their management.
