Udupi: Culture at home is child’s base for primary education

Udupi, 19 December 2011: Home is the first school of the child and the mother is the first teacher. The child who comes from a cultured family will be in the lead even in the studies in the school. The attitudes of the people at home and the neighbourhood will have the direct effect on the child. In the overall development of the child mother’s role is crucial. The culture at home is the foundation for the primary education of the child, said Former Rotary Deputy Governor B. Pundalika Marathe.
He was speaking in the Annual Day celebrations of Padubelle Shri Narayanaguru Educational Institutions on Saturday. Upon releasing the special magazine “Vanasuma” he said that, the cinema, television, computer, internet and mobile are having bad influence on the young children and we can see girls missing and suicide situations in the news every day. When the children are admitted to the school the parents responsibility does not end there, instead it begins there. The coordination between the child, parent and teacher results in quality education of the child, he said.
Upon releasing the magazine “Vision” Jilla Panchayath President Katapadi Shankara Poojary said that in this competitive world the success of the Institution is in the hard work of the active teaching staff. Speaking on the occasion the Institution’s Management Committee President and Former Minister Vasantha V. Salian said, our target is to get 100% results in both the Kannada and English medium schools.
The program was presided over by Billava Maha mandala President Jaya C. Suvarna Mumbai, who said that, more that 60 lakhs funds per year is being spent for the development of this Institution and the principles of Shri Narayanaguru is being implemented here, he said. Local Committee Vice President Jayashankar welcomed the guests and the gathering. Institution Administration Officer J.C. Salian briefed on the Institutions development view. Headmistress Usha S. introduced the donors.
On the dias Vice President S.K. Salian Belman, Ramachandra Kidiyoor, Jayakumar, Dinesh Suvarna, Laxmana Suvarna, Gangadhara Acharya, Mahabala Shetty were present. Hon. Secretary Shivaji Suvarna proposed vote of thanks. Teachers Arundhati Prabhu, Veena Nayak, Geetha, Poornima, Shahista and Pramila introduced the winners. Sumanasa, Sheril, Pooja and Rakshit compeered the program. School leaders Radha and vishwambhara coordinated the program. Children conducted cultural program.
