Bantakal: “Prathibha Karanji” Children’s Cultural Fest

Bantakal, 12 December 2011: There are varieties in the talents of the children and when the suitable platform is available these talents can blossom, these children’s cultural festivals are the witness for this. Those moments that remain in children’s memory is the educational excursion, school annual day, sports day and the children’s cultural fest Prathibha Karanji. These are the integral part of the education, said Udupi District Education Deputy director M. Nagendra Madhyasta.

 

 

 

 
He was speaking as the chief guests of the inaugural function of “Prathibha Karanji – 2011” the children’s cultural fest of Udupi Jilla Panchayath, Public Education Department and Udupi District level , conducted at Bantakal Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple Auditorium. Speaking further he said that, from next year these cultural festivals will be conducted in the beginning of the year.
 
The program was inaugurated by Udupi Jilla Panchayath President Katapadi Shankara Poojary, who spoke on the occasion and said that, all the programs in the coastal areas are being counducted systematically. There should be more grants made available for these programs from the government, he said. Zonal Education Officer S. Vasantha Shetty in his introductory note briefed on the background of these programs. Jilla Panchayath Member Ida Gibba D’Souza conveyed good wishes.
 
School Management Board President M. Balakrishna Nayak presided over the function. Other guests and dignitaries present on the dias were; Managing Trustee Vishwanatha Nayak, Kurkalu Dinakara Shetty, Entrepreneur Ashok Shetty, Majoor Panchayath President Ganesh Shetty, Madhava Acharya Heroor and Samanvaya Officer Nagaraj were present.
 
School Headmaster B. Anantharama Bhat welcomed the guests and the gathering. Radhakrishna Prabhu compeered the program. School correspondent K.V. Prabhu proposed vote of thanks. In the beginning of the program the guests were welcomed in an attractive procession.
