Dubai : Mudarangadi Parishioners holds Picnic at Safa Park

Dubai, 10 December 2011: It was the exciting day for the St Francis Xavier Association, Mudarangady Parishioners (SFX KUTAM) residing in the UAE. A fun day family picnic was held at Safa Park Dubai with around 75 members happily gathering in this blissful full day picnic. The picnic was organized by the association with the aim of getting to know each other a little better, have fun and to renew the commitment to build harmony and peaceful community.

 

It all started with a prayer conducted by Leena Dsouza followed by warm welcome by President JhonsonDsilva. All attendees, men, women, youth and children from all walks of life participated in various games .There were many games and activities to all the age-group persons. Participants were divided into two teams MudarangadiHalasinakatte and Dugradakatte.

 

The lucky coupon draw was also conducted and first prize was won by Edwin Dsouza(Ticket No. 0465)ofMudarangadi,second prize was won by Ticket No. 0836and third prize was won bySanthoshSalvi(Ticket No. 0757).

 

A number of warm up games were conducted by Anil Prakash and Leslie. Women and children also enjoyed perfect attention with the team games .Tug-of-war for men and women left the participant energized, as they continued applauding and supporting the participating teams.

 

Among the two teams MudarangadiHalasinakatte bagged the first prize and rose victoriously as the champions while the Durgadakatte came second.

 

Delicious food and snacks were served and all people had a very wonderful time in the pleasant weather of Dubai at the backdrops of BurjKhalifa at the magnificient SAFA PARK and made their day remarkable and memorable.
