Belman: “Pratibha Karanji 2011 – 12” Cultural Fest held

Belman, 25 November 2011: The cultural competition programs are the example of all the talents coming together in one stage without the difference of any cast, religion, language and gender. These Pratibha Karanji’s are the cultural festival of equality among all the religions, said Udupi Jilla Panchayath Belman Kshethra Member Suprith Shetty. He was speaking upon inaugurating the “Pratiba Karanji 2011 – 12” a cultural fest of School Children of Public Education Board, Karkala Zone, Nandalike Cluster, organized by Belman Mary Little Flower Higher Primary School in the School Auditorium on Thursday.

 

 


 
Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest and Karkala Taluk Panchayath member Xavier D’mello said that, the Pratibha Karanji is not just limited to the competitors alone, but should be to all the students of the zone and called upon to organize the cultural fest in this direction and extended his complete support for this. Grama Panchayath President Mallika Rao in her speech said that, from this program the natural talents of the children get the good opportunity and requested the judges to honestly give justice to their talents.
 
Other guests and dignitaries present on the dias were; Education Coordinator Shailaja Hegde, Zone Resource Person Vasantha, District Teachers Association Secretary Laxmikanth Bhat, School Correspondent Rev. Fr. Micheal Mascarenas, Aided School Teachers Association President V.K. Rao Nandalike, Taluk Association Vice President Sathish Shetty, Grama Panchayath Member Ganesh Devadiga, Pratibha Karanji Samiti President Alphonse Mascarenas, Parent Teachers Association President Bharati, Mundkur CRP Nityananda and Belman Lioness President Gretta D’Souza.
 
School Headmistress Philomena D’Sa welcomed the guests and the gathering. Teacher Metilda Menezes honoured the guests with flower bouquet. Belman St. Joseph School Teacher B. Pundalika Marathe compeered the program. Punarukere School Teacher Devdas Patkar read the list of winners in the competitions. Nandalike Cluster Director Karunakara Poojary proposed vote of thanks.
