Udupi: State Athletic Meet – 5 Records broken on 2nd Day

Udupi, 16 October 2011: More 5 records were created on Saturday the 2nd day of the 28th Junior – Senior state athletic meet taking place in Mahatma Gandhi Stadium Udupi. On Friday the 1st day Alva’s Sports Club Moodbidri dominated in the performance and also on the 2nd day they continued the same. Among the 5 records, 3 records were created by the athletes of Alva’s.
 
Under 20 years boys High jump competition Chetan B. of Youngsters Sports Club Bangalore improvised his own old record from 2.04 meter to 2.08 meters.

 

 

 
Under 18 years Girls Pole Vault competition Preethi of Alva’s broke her own record of 2.50 meter and created new record with 2.66 meter.

 

 
Under 16 years Boys Hammer throw competition Gavi Swami of Badami Chalukya team created a new record with 48.70 meter. With this new record the previous record in the name Sudhir Ramu Shiradone with 44.30 meter is broken.
 
Under 16 years Girls Shot put competition Namitha G.K. of Alva’s threw the metal ball to 11.16 meter distance and broke the record. The previous 10.78 meter record was on the name of Pallavi Sukumar.
 
Under 18 years Boys Long jump competition Shanshir S.E. jumped 7.30 meter distance and broke his own record of 7.07 meter distance.
