Gandhi Jayanthi celebrated at Padubelle by Schools & Clubs

Shirva, 02 October 2011: Gandhi Jayanthi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanthi were celebrated in a most significant way in Padubelle. Padubelle Shri Narayanaguru Educational Institutions, Kannada and English Mediaum High School Interact Club and Youngster – Pamboor jointly coordinated “Shramadana” and closed the potholes on the road from Pamboor Church to Bantakal B.C. Road.
The Shramadana was led by Administrative Officer of Institutions Jinraj Salian, Shirva Rotary Secretary Leo Noronha, Youngster President Henry Fernandes, Secretary Glansen Noronha, Entrepreneur Ignatius D’Souza, Headmistress of Kannada Medium School Usha and Interact Coordination Teacher Sangeetha.
The public celebration program was organized at Padubelle School Auditorium. Divakara B.K. Brahmavara - Director Udupi Rajiv Gandhi College of Management lit the lamp and gave message on the occasion. Chief Guest of the program Karunakara B.K. – English Lecturer of Nitte Dr. N.S.S.A.M. P.U. College Mangalore briefed the significance of the day. Shirva Rotary Secretary Leo Noronha and sponsor of the program Ananthapadmanabha Bhat Podamale were present on the dias.
On this occasion Divakar B.K. handed over rupees ten thousand donations to the Institution Administrative Officer. Teacher Arundhathi Prabhu compeered the program. Kannada Medium Headmistress Usha proposed vote of thanks. Interact Presidents Deeksha, Meghna, School Pupil Leader Vishwambhara Raghuram Bhat, Kumari Radha were present. Students performed all religion programs.
