Mumbai: Monti Fest Celbrations at Assumption Church Kandivli

Mumbai, 18 September 2011: Monti Fest in Assumption Church, Dhanukarvadi, Kandivli West was celebrated on 10 Sep by Asumpsanv Konkani Songh, Kandivli. Programme started with the Novena to Mother Mary at the church school premises. Children offered flowers to Maria Bombina statue. New Paddy Corns were blessed and the people moved in a procession to the church singing Konkani hymns in honour of Mother Mary. Konkani mass was held in the church.

 

 

A Konkani cultural programme was arranged in the church hall after the mass. Novem and Sanna Roce was distributed to all. Well known konkani singer "Sangeet Samrat" Henry D’Souza and Harryboy Vakola were the guest for the programme. Variety Konkani entertainment programmes were held. Mr. Valerian Pais compered the programme beautifully. Programme ended with a "Novem Jevonn"
