Udupi: Major Milestone - New Office of Mangalorean.com Opens

Udupi, 15 September 2011: The long-awaited dream of the popular website, www.mangalorean.com, was realized on Thursday, September 15, 2011 when its office was inaugurated on the third floor of Mythri Complex behind the KSRTC bus stand here.
The strategic location in the heart of the city gives it an edge in that it is within immediate reach, both for locals and outsiders.
The ceremonial ribbon was cut by Fr Joel D’Souza OFM of the Trinity Central School, Perampalli. Udupi District Working Journalists’ Association president Kiran Manjanbail was the chief guest on the occasion.
Social activist and team leader of Mangalorean.com in the State of Qatar, Iqbal Manna, was the guest of honour.
Many prominent citizens and well-wishers from Udupi and around and also from Mangalore were present on the occasion.
There has been a large concentration of Mangalorean.com readers in this district. Besides, there are also thousands of NRIs hailing from the district currently based in the Middle East, Europe, the Americas and the Australian subcontinent, who are regular readers of this website.
There has been persistent demand for opening an office in Udupi for long. Now the opportunity has arrived. The office will be headed by Michael Rodrigues of Sastan, a well-known personality, who has many years of experience in the media, advertising and marketing fields.
