Derebail Warriors Emerge Champions of Inaugural 60+ Senior Citizens Inter Parish Tournament

Mangalore: The SCC Derebail Warriors have emerged as the champions of the inaugural 60+ Senior Citizens Club Inter Parish Tournament, held at the picturesque KPT cricket ground in the inaugural edition of the tournament- 2025. 

 

The team’s all-round performance, meticulous planning by the team management, and never-say-die attitude have been truly exceptional. Their top-notch wins in the league matches and unbelievable fighting spirit in the final were simply outstanding!

 

In a nail-biting final match, the Derebail Warriors edged out strong title contenders, Senior Citizens Team of Kulshekar Friends from Holy Cross Church, Cordel, by 5 runs to lift the coveted beautiful trophy!

Hats off to the superlative bowling performance throughout from experienced   Edward Sequeira, who bagged the Man of the Match in the final, Best Bowler of the tournament, and Man of the Series awards!

 

Special mention should be made to our star performers: Sunil Noronha and Francis Concessao, who won the ’Man of the Match’ awards in the league matches with their outstanding all-round performances as well as solid batting from the opening batsman Oswald D’Souza. 

 

The team was ably lead by Manuel S. Monis, vice captain Richard Almeida, well supported by Team manager Vincent Castelino with their meticulous planning & coordinated by Francis Saldanha for the title win.
