Seminar on ‘Indian Constitution and Our Responsibility’ held at St. Lawrence Parish, Moodubelle

Udupi/M’Bell, 17 Dec 2023: The Commission for Justice and Peace of St. Lawrence Church, Moodubelle Unit organized a seminar on the “Indian Constitution and Our Responsibility” on Sunday, 17 December 2023 at 9 am in the Parish hall. Fr. George D’Souza, Parish Priest of Moodubelle presided over the programme. Edward Larsen D’Souza, Director of the Udupi Diocesan Justice and Peace Commission was the resource person.  He conducted the seminar on the Indian Constitution and the duties and rights of the people under the Constitution.

 

Edward Larsen D’Souza clarified the main issues namely, if one does not have responsibility, how he or she can take up responsibility? How we can do something good in society and community. How can we live as good citizens. We have to follow societal and national rules and regulations. We cannot do whatever we want under the guise of not knowing the law or rules and regulations.

 

 

Edward Larsen D’Souza stressed on the fact that everyone should know the Constitution which is essential to know one’s own duties and responsibilities as well as the fundamental and other rights.

 

Charles Quadros-Secetary of the PPC and Mrs. Gracy Rebello-Convner of the 20 Commissions were present.

 

Fr. Pradeep Cardoza compered the programme and Mrs. (Dr.) Judith Lobo-Coordinator of the Commission for Justice and Peace proposed the vote of thanks.
