Udupi: Release of media stickers with QR code for journalists’ vehicles

Udupi, 13 Dec 2023: The media, which is the fourth pillar of the democracy, has to do the work of reviewing how the three pillars of democracy, namely the legislature, the executive and the judiciary. Udupi District Superintendent of Police Dr. K. Arun said that media has a very big responsibility to protect democracy.
On behalf of the Udupi District Working Journalists’ Association, on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee, he was speaking at Udupi Press Bhawan on Tuesday, releasing media stickers with QR code for the vehicles of the members of the association.
Some fake journalists operating in the name of journalists are a big headache for the police. Now the Association of Journalists has arranged a QR code on the media sticker of vehicles using modern technology which is a good development. He said that if this arrangement is made in all the districts of the state, it will be very helpful for the police.
Association President Rajesh Shetty Alevoor presided. Convener of Rajata Mahotsav Committee Muhammad Sharif, National Committee member of Indian Federation of Working Journalists Arun Kumar Shiruru, Convener of Udupi Press House Ajith Aradi, General Secretary of Rajata Mahotsav Committee Jayakara Suvarna were present.
Nazir Polya, general secretary of the association, welcomed the gathering. Treasurer Umesh Marpalli delivered the vote of thanks. Secretary Deepak Jain along joint secretary of Silver Jubilee Committee compared the program.
