Udupi/Barkur, 10 Dec 2023: National High School, Barkur gets I place in Tailoring and III Place in supw in Udupi District Level Art & Crafts Exhibition held on 9th December 2023.

 

Students hailing from different High Schools, far and near, exhibited vibrant wall hangings, mural paintings, to embellish their respective galleries and allotted classrooms. All children the budding artists presented many creative ideas which left all the viewers dumb-struck for a moment and full of praise for the talent on display.

 

The Host NJC Campus full of activities to watch the colourful display of talents with amazing array of artifacts.

 

During the electrifying inaugural programme arranged in the NJC Auditorium, at 11.00 am, former GM of Can Fins Homes, Mr B Sudhakar Shetty declared open the Exhibition and in his message lauded the rich talent, creativity and dedication of High School students who participated in this District level extravaganza of showcasing something very unique and special hidden in their hearts and hands….!

 

Mrs Mallika Poojary the President of the Hanehalli Panchayat presided over the glittering programme which was witnessed by many stalwarts, Office bearers of Barkur Educational Society, representatives from the District Education dept, parents and teachers.

 

 

‘This exhibition included pencil shading, glass paintings, stitching, origami, embroidery, portraits, paper flowers and baskets, most of them using eco-friendly waste items, which stunningly brought out best creativity of our students’ the DDPI Mr Ganapathi K. observed in his address to the students and craft teachers.

 

It was a feast to curious eyes of High School students to take rounds again and again as each gallery had something wonderful, colourful and amazing. 

 

Organisers rightly deserve appreciations for their passionate patience and time to extract best and exemplary contributions in different forms from these students of Class VIII to X.
