Mangaluru: Vijayakumar Kodialbail to be conferred with Rangachavadi Award 2023 on Dec 3

Mangaluru, 28 Nov 2023: At the aegis of Rangachavadi, city-based literary and cultural organization and Subhashitanagar Residents’ Welfare Association (R), Suratkal, near here the conferring of Rangachavadi Award-2023 will be held during their annual event at Buntara Bhavan, Suratkal here on Sunday December 3 at 4.30pm.
Rangachavadi 2023 Award will be conferred to Vijayakumar Kodialbail, renowned Tulu artiste, theater director and playwriter during the annual event.
Mumbai-based Herumbha Industries managing director Kanyana Sadasiva Shetty will inaugurate the event.
World Bunts’ Federation(R) chairman Aikala Harish Shetty will preside the programme.
Veteran playwriter and movie director Dr. Sanjeev Dandekeri, Shree Developers proprietor Girish M. Shetty Kateel, taxes and financial ascertaining and appeal steering Committee chairman Varun Chowta, Buntara Matra Sangh Mangaluru taluk Committee convener Vasant Shetty, Mumbai - Thane Bunts Association former president Venugopal Shetty, movie director Chandrashekar Mada Kudradiguttu, Yaksha Druva Patla Foundation Suratkal unit president Sudhakar S Punja, Subhashitanagar Residents Welfare Association president Ramesh Shetty, movie producer Prakash Pandeshwar, city-based Yatart Social founder Eshwar Prasad Shetty will be the chief guests of the occasion.
Yaksha Druva Patla Foundation central Committee general secretary Purushottam K Bhandary will deliver keynote address.
The selection committee comprised Dr Sanjeev Dandekeri, V. G. Pal, journalist Jagannat Shetty Bala and others have chosen Vijayakumar Kodialbail to confer Rangachavadi Award-2023.
The city-based Kala Sangama, theatre troupe will present Tulu play, Maitidi, (sister-in-law) as part of cultural show.
About Vijayakumar Kodialbail
He is involved in Tulu theatre since the last 4 decades. He is also distinguished playwright, artiste and director. He translated Marathi plays into Tulu and staged in Mumbai, Mangaluru, Udupi. He also presented religious plays on Swami Ayyappa and Tulunad Deivaradhane.
