Udupi: State health dept organizes sensitization on malaria/dengue at Udyavar

Udupi, 12 Aug 2023: At the joint auspices of the rural maternity and child welfare department and in collaboration with KMC Hospital, Manipal, organized a sensitization programme on malaria and dengue fever at PHC, Udyavar, here on August 9.

 

Udyavar gram panchayat president Radhakrishna Sriyan inaugurated the programme.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Sriyan commended the state health department in organizing the health awareness programme in the rural area.

 

 

KMC Hospital community medicine assistant professor Dr Eshwari K, Lions Club former president Pratap Udyavar, Udyavar Gram Panchayat members Divakara, Sumati, Abid Ali, Praveena Krishna, Frieda D’Souza, Rekha Shankar, Saroja Sudhakar, Sarita, Malati and Vanita were present at the dais.

 

Dr Eshwari offered info on malaria and dengue fever, the symptoms, precautions and treatments.

 

The locals of Udyavar, community medicine staff, PHC staff were present.
