Kasturba Medical College & Kasturba Hospital Awarded Prestigious NABH Certificate of Accreditation f

Manipal, 10 Aug 2023: Kasturba Medical College & Kasturba Hospital, renowned institutions of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), have been bestowed with the esteemed Certificate of Accreditation for their Institutional Ethics Committee by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH), a Constituent Board of the Quality Council of India.

 

 

The certificate was officially presented to Dr. Padmaraj Hegde, Dean of Kasturba Medical college, Manipal and Dr. Avinash Shetty, Medical Superintendent of Kasturba Hospital in a ceremonious event held at the MAHE Building on August 9, 2023. The distinguished guests at the event included Dr. HS Ballal, Pro Chancellor of MAHE, and Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M. D. Venkatesh, Vice Chancellor of MAHE, who had the honor of handing over the accreditation certificate.

 

Speaking on this momentous occasion, Dr. HS Ballal, Pro Chancellor of MAHE, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Kasturba Medical College & Kasturba Hospital for achieving this remarkable recognition. He emphasized the significance of such accreditation in acknowledging the institutions’ commitment to ethical practices and quality healthcare provision. Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M. D. Venkatesh, Vice Chancellor of MAHE, underscored the importance of the NABH Certificate of Accreditation as a testament to the ethical standards upheld by MAHE. He highlighted that this achievement mirrors the institution’s dedication to maintaining the highest levels of ethical conduct. Dr. Sharath Rao, Pro Vice Chancellor of Health Sciences, extended his warm congratulations to the entire team involved in obtaining this accreditation. He took the opportunity to elucidate the rigorous audit and stringent processes undertaken to secure such recognition, expressing his immense satisfaction at reaching this significant milestone.
