‘Laudato Si’ with Vanamhotsava observed in St. Lawrence Parish, Moodubelle

Udupi/M’Belle, 09 July 2023: As part of the ‘Laudato Si’ programme that was being observed throughout the Diocese of Udupi promoting environmental protection and preservation, Vanamhotsava Programme was observed in St. Lawrence Parish, Moodubelle by the Catholic Sabha, ICYM, YCS and Ecological Commission on Sunday, 9 July 2023.

 

Soon after the 7.30 am Mass concelebrated by Fr. Pradeep Cardoza-Assistant Parish Priest, Fr. Richard Quadros and Fr. Dyan Prakash, the  programme of Vanamahotsava was observed in front of the church portico in a beautifully arranged dais surrounded by saplings of various trees.

 

Following the welcome address by Mrs. Ancilla D’Souza-President of the Catholic Sabha, Moodubelle Unit, presidents of ICYM, Catholic Sabha and YCS handed over saplings to Fr. Pradeep Cardoza. Thereafter, Fr. Pradeep Cardoza handed over the saplings to Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council, Pritish D’Sa, Secretary Charles Quadros and Convener of the 20 Commissions Mrs. Gracy Rebello. Saplings were distributed to all the Gurkars of the 23 Wards of the Parish, representatives and heads of various parish associations.

 

 

The meritorious students who had scored distinction marks in the SSLC and PUC Examinations were felicitated by handing over them gift envelops and saplings. 

 

Fr. Pradeep Cardoza along with other dignitaries planted few saplings in the premises of the church.
