Mangaluru: Kar Tulu Sahitya Academy Prez Dayanand urges Gen-Next to study Tulu literature

Mangaluru, 07 Jan 2022: The land of contemporary Tulunadu fostered relations. Tulu language strengthens community bonds. Meanwhile, the gen-next can sustain social security by studying Tulu literature, said Dayanand Kattalsar, president of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy.
Dayanand was delivering a special lecture after inaugurating Tulu classes in 1st year degree classes that was jointly organized by the Kannada department and internal quality assurance cell of Government First Grade College, Car Street, here on Thursday, January 6.
The federal government has laid emphasis on a new National Education Policy that has opened scope for Tulu studies. The students whose mother tongue Tulu have got a chance to study in their native language and to make its optimum use, added Dayanand.
In his presidential address, the College principal Prof Rajashekar Hebbar C said that Tulu and coastal districts of DK and Udupi are correlated. Tulunadu is the land of diverse cultures. The students ought to carve out a better future by studying the rich literature of Tulu, its distinct culture and respecting their education institutions, said Prof Hebbar.
The student Amulya rendered the prayer song. The head of department of Kannada Dr Prakaschandra Shishila delivered the preliminary address. The Kannada assistant Prof Dr Ravikumar M P welcomed the gathering. Kannada assistant Professor Dr Nagaveni N proposed the vote of thanks.
