Kaup: Other Languages are not obstructing learning Kannada

Kaup, 04 July 2011: In the changing competitive world it has become very much necessary to preserve the excellence of Kannada. When there is excellence there is recognition. Children are to be prepared to face the questions. Sanskrit is the mother of all languages. Along with Kannada it has become also important to learn English and without effecting Kannada other languages are to be learned. Even though we have Konkani, Tulu, Byari languages, it has not affected Kannada language. Kannada is a balanced language, so other languages are not obstructing Kannada, said Higher Education Minister Dr. V. S. Acharya.
He was speaking upon inauguration of “Taluk Kannada Sahithya Samelana – 2011” at Uliyaragoli Bhojaraja Vedike in Kaup Shrilakshmijanardana Sabhangana. Former Minister Vasantha Salian spoke upon inauguration of the book exhibition and said that, there are many personalities who have contributed a lot for the language, a study has to be done on this and a district Kannada Bhavana is to be constructed for this, he said.
Kaup MLA Lalaji R. Mendon spoke on this occasion and expressed his happiness on this Kannada Samelana taking place in Kaup. The program was presided over by Dr. Mahabaleshwara Rao – Principal of Dr. T.M.A. Pai College Udupi.
Attractive procession was conducted which was initiated by Kaup Vidyanikethana Group of Education Correspondent K. P. Acharya with the Kannada flag. The procession ended near Kaup third marigudi, Shri Veerabhadra Temple.

There is no point in crying for Kannada. Everyone knows the important of their language and culture. And everyone should allow to study the language of their wish/choice. |
