Ln. Valerian Noronha takes charge as the President of Lions Club of Moodubelle

Udupi/M’Belle, 16 Jul 2021: Ln. Valerian Noronha took charge as the new President of  the Lions Club of Moodubelle on Thursday, 15 July 2021 at the Installation Ceremony conducted by the Installation Officer Ln. Siddharaju, mjf at the Lions Seva Bhavan. Along with Ln. Valerian Noronha, Ln. Joseph Martis was installed a the new Secretary and Ln. Elias Lobo (Gokal) was appointed as the new Treasurer.

 

The outgoing office bearers-Ln. Anil D’Mello-President, Ln. Devdas Hebbar-Secretary and Ln. Neville D’Souza-Treasurer handed over their posts to the new office bearers of the Lions Club of Moodubelle.

 

The dignitaries present for the installation ceremony included: Leo Joy Fernandes-Leo District President, Ln. Vadiraj Rao-Zone Chairman Zone II; Ln. Pnadurang Achar-Region Chairman, Region III; Ln. Jayaprakash Bhandary-District Cabinet Treasurer; Ln. Sapna Suresh-District Cabinet Secretary;  Ln. Neri Cornelio- II Vice District Governor;  Ln. Wilfred D’Souza,pmjf-Past District Governor; and Fr. George D’Souza-Parish Priest of St. Lawrence Church, Moodubelle.

 

Following the welcome address by the outgoing President Ln. Anil D’Mello, Fr. George D’Souza invoked the blessings on the programme. Thereafter Ln. Gerald Fernandes introduced the Installation Officer-Ln. Siddharaju, mjf.

 

 

Ln. Siddharaju following his address installed the new office bearers of the Lions Club of Moodubelle for the Lionstic Year 2021-22.

 

Following their installation, the new office bearers occupied their formal position on the dais.

 

Following the handing over and accepting the charge the new President Ln. Valerian Noronha gave his acceptance speech.

 

In a similar manner, the new office bearers of the Leo Club were also installed.

 

On  this occasion  Ln. Neri Cornelio inducted 7 new members to the Lions Club of Moodubelle. 

 

Ln. Alwyn Mathias who had outstanding contribution to the Lions Club of Moodubelle was felicitated on this occasion.

 

The outgoing office bearers were honoured for their service to the lions Club of Moodubelle during the last year. 

 

The outgoing President Ln. Anil D’Mello expressed his gratitude to all the members of the Lions Club of Moodubelle for cooperating with his team and achieving many goals.

 

Prior to the Installation Ceremony  the Lions Club of Moodubelle memebrs who had repaired the house of Thomas Mendonca of Edmeru handed over the same to him along with rice and clothes. The chief guest of the day, Ln. Siddharaju donated Rs.1,000/- to Thomas Mendonca to meet his daily needs.

 

Ln. Elias Lobo proposed the vote of thanks.

 

Ln. Devdas Hebbar and Ln. Elias D’Souza compeered the programme.
