M’belle: Warm Farewell to Rev Fr Arun Mendonca by the Parish

Moodubelle, 28 June 2011: A warm farewell was given to Rev. Fr. Arun Mendonca, after the morning 07.30 am mass on Sunday, who shall be leaving Moodubelle Parish for his next mission. The farewell function was attended by the Parish Priest, Vice President of Parish Pastoral council, Secretary of Parish Pastoral council, other dignitaries and the parishioners.

 

 

Alfonse Alva – Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council thanked Rev. Fr. Arun Mendonca for his service during the last 4 years. Rev. Fr. Paul Sequeira – Pricipal of St. Lawrence P. U. College, Moodubelle, thanked Fr. Arun on behalf of the Educational Institution.

 

Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes – Parish Priest of St. Lawrence Church honoured Fr. Arun with garlands and wished him for his future mission. Fr. Lancy Saldanha – Asst. Parish Priest compeered the program.

 

ICYM conduct farewell function for Rev. Fr. Arun Mendonca

 

ICYM Moodubelle conducted farewell function on Sunday at the Parish Hall. The program was presided over by Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes - Parish Priest. Rev. Fr. Arun Mendonca was the Chief Guest of the program. Other guests and dignitaries were; Alfonse Alva – Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council, Jesintha D’Souza – Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council, Sr. Vineeta – Superior of Convent and Henry Fernandes – Former Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council.

 

Royston Alva – President of ICYM welcomed the guests and the gathering. Flalevan Fernandes – Former President of ICYM spoke on the occasion and praised Fr. Arun, his personality, his ability in getting mixed with the students, his concern towards the students specially those who are academically backward and his special skill to motivate the youths.

 

 

In his presidential address Fr. Joswey acknowledged and appreciated the contribution of Fr. Arun, who asked the Parish youth to join ICYM and helped them to develop in the society and motivated them. After receiving the honour from ICYM Moodubelle, Fr. Arun addressing the youth told them to make their decisions by themselves which will help them to grow in confidence for the future.

 

ICYM Secretary Vineeth proposed vote of thanks. Maxim D’Sa compeered the program.
