Mangaluru: Annual feast of Infant Jesus Shrine concludes

Mangaluru, 16 Jan 2021: The feast of Infant Jesus was concluded at St Joseph’s Monastery, Carmel Hill’s Infant Jesus Shrine, Bikarnakatte, here on Saturday January 16.

 

Thousands of devotees flocked to the shrine to thank Infant Jesus for the favours they have received and seeking the graces to overcome difficulties and tribulations of life.

 

Fr Ashwith Crasta, Fr Nelson Almeida, Fr Alvito Fernandes and Fr Vijay Machado celebrated the Masses every one hour before the festal Mass.

 

Fr Paul Melvyn D’Souza, Episcopal Vicar for Religious of Mangalore diocese and Bishop Emeritus Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza concelebrated the festal Eucharistic Celebration on the occasion.

 

 

Fr Charles Serrao and Fr Rovel D’Souza thanked the gathering including volunteers, donors, police personnel and others.

 

After the Festal Mass, a short Eucharistic procession was held within the complex.

 

All faithful had to follow the Covid-19 guidelines. Girija Healthcare helped the shrine and all the faithful to maintain the sanitization.
