Mumbai: Railway Yatri Sangh Borivali urges KR to begin Matsyaganda Exp Train to Mangaluru

Mumbai, 08 Aug 2020: Railway Yatri Sangh Borivali Mumbai (Western Zone) met North Mumbai MP Gopal Shetty, here on Friday August 7, urging the latter to take up their issue with Konkan Railway in order to begin Matsyaganda Express daily train services from Lok Manya Tilak Terminus (LTT) Mumbai to Mangaluru Central that was stalled since Covid-19 lockdown 1.
The delegation of Sangh was led by its honorary president Shankar Shetty Virar, President Simantoor Uday Shetty, members Premanat P Kotian, Rajit Suvarna and others.
The above train services that are well patronized by passengers from interiors of Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and Kerala was stalled since March 24 (Janata Curfew) that was not restored since then. The disruption in services caused untold miseries to people who are struck in Mumbai without money to carry on living and are longing to return to their native villages, explained Uday Shetty Simantoor to the MP Gopal Shetty.
The delegation urged Konkan Railway to begin Matsyaganda Express train services with standard operating procedures (SOPs), health guidelines issued by union ministry of health and family welfare in order to help all those who want to return to their hometowns at the earliest.
