Mangaluru: 30,835 students in DK to appear SSLC Exams beginning from Jun 25

Mangaluru, 05 Jun 2020: SSLC exams will begin from June 25, while 30,835 students will appear in DK district, said DC Sindhu B Rupesh.

 

 

Addressing the preliminary meeting of holding SSLC Exams-2020 at district headquarters, here on Friday, June 5, Sindhu said state-run KSRTC buses will ferry the students who appear for the exams at free of cost.  The students got to show their hall tickets to the bus conductor.  The exams will be held from June 25 to July 4.

 

There are a total of 95 exams centers in DK district; another 19 centers are reserved in addition.  As per the government guidelines only 20 students are accommodated in each classroom.  The students will be screened before entering the classrooms.  If in case, any student found to have symptoms of Covid, they will be accommodated in a separate classroom.  One-hundred-two such rest rooms were already set up at different exam centers.  Every classroom will be sanitized before beginning the exams, said DC.

 

‘The students will be offered free masks by scouts & guides, G Shankar Family of Udupi.  Four scout instructors will serve as volunteers at each exam centre,’ said public instructions department deputy director Malleswamy.

 

Sindhu also said, ‘The students from Kasargod numbering 345 who had to cross the Karnataka – Kerala boundary check post to appear for exams in Karnataka are allowed at the sentries upon showing their hall tickets.

 

II PUC exam of English paper will be held on June 18.  A total of 26,704 students will appear in 51 exams centers, added Sindhu.

 

The question papers are safely stored in district treasury.  Armed police will escort the vehicles that carry the question papers to different exam centers.  The district and taluk level invigilators will be involved in exam process, said Sindhu.

 

ADC M J Rupa, DCP Arunamsha Giri, Assistant Commissioner Madan Mohan and other officials were present.
