Mangaluru: ICYM Episcopal City Deanery holds Yuva Talentam-2020, Talent Contest

Mangaluru, 19 Feb: Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) of Episcopal City Deanery organized Yuva Talentam – 2020, Youth Talent Day at St Rita’s parish hall, Cascia, here on Sunday, February 16 at 4:00pm.

 

The programme began with a prayer song led by the youths of the deanery.

 

Melvyn and Anita Cutinho were the chief guests for the programme along with Yuva Spoorthi director and Mangaluru diocesan ICYM Central Council director Fr Ronald Prakash D’Souza, Cascia parish priest Fr Herald Mascarenhas, ICYM Episcopal City deanery director Fr Anil Pinto,  ICYM president Leon Lloyd Saldanha, general secretary Veena Vas, PRO Minol Braggs and ICYM Episcopal City Deanery Representative from diocese president Delitia Asumpta, secretary Sonali Rodrigues, Yuva Talentam – 2020 convener Teena Pashao, ICYM Cascia parish unit president Glen Tauro, vice president Jane Pinto, office bearers of Cascia parish council were present.

 

 

Delitia Asumptha Pereira welcomed the gathering.

 

The programme was inaugurated in a unique way by the dignitaries.

 

Fr Ronald Prakash D’Souza and Fr Herald Mascarenhas in their message, congratulated and wished good luck to all the youths.

 

Viola Dsilva - Immediate Past President, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery introduced the jury comprising Rynal Sequeira, Jonita Rasquinha and Snehith Lobo.

 

Units of ICYM Episcopal City Deanery actively participated in the competition. Leon Lloyd Saldanha and Minol Braggs, Delitia Asumpta Pereira and Snehith Lobo entertained the audience with a song and dance.

 

As a token of gratitude, mementos were given to the jury and the chief guests by Fr Anil Pinto - director, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery.

 

The valedictory programme commenced at 6:00pm.

 

Melvyn and Anita Cutinho – chief guests of the programme along with Cascia parish priest Fr Herald Mascarenhas, Fr Kenneth Crasta, Fr Anil Pinto, Delitia Asumpta Pereira and Teena Pashao were present at the dais.

 

In his message, Fr Anil Pinto congratulated all the youths for their active participation and thanked everyone for their support in making all the events successful.

 

Dheeraj Lobo - sports secretary, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery announced the results of the competition.

 

Prizes were distributed to the winner by Fr Harold Mascarenhas.

 

Teena Pashao proposed the vote of thanks. Sanjay D’Souza – vice president, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery compered the formal programme. Sonali Rodrigues – secretary, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery compered the valedictory programme.

 

ICYM Bejai parish unit bagged the winner’s trophy and ICYM Valencia parish unit bagged the runners up trophy of Yuva Talentam – 2020.

 

The programme concluded with ICYM theme song.
