Udupi: New S.P. assures to maintain communal harmony

Udupi, 10 June 2011: A delegation from Karnataka State Christian Group International Union met Dr. Navin Kumar, who has newly taken the charge as Superintendent of Police of Udupi District and submitted an appeal to provide the necessary protection to the minorities.
Member of the delegation Louis Lobo briefed the details of the hostile incidents and the wrong doings against Christians after 2008 . Listening to these, S.P. Ravikumar assured them that during his tenure in the district he will give more priority to maintain the communal harmony and secularism. Also he will take precaution against any undesired and wrong intentional incidents and if necessary will take action without any hesitation, he told the delegation.
In the delegation, the Vice President of the Union Prashanth Jathanna, Chief Secretary Nerry Carnelio and also the office bearers; Charles Ambler, Jithendra Furtado, Wilson Rodrigues, Peter Danthi, Micheal Rodrigues, Louis Noronha and Roshani Valivera were present.
