Mumbai: Bunts Sangh celebrates Deepavali, helping economically-weaker brethrens

Mumbai, 24 Oct: Bunts Sangh, premier association of Bunts community founded in Mumbai 92 years ago celebrated Deepavali by launching tailoring and beautician course for economically-weaker community women, at Hotel Sai Palace, Andheri (East), here on Sunday, October 20.
Bunts Sangh Mumbai® president Padmanabha S Payyade launched the tailoring and beautician training course, here on Sunday.
Gifts such as saris, bed sheets, dress materials and cash were presented specially-abled children and their families, besides scholarships to the talented students during the programme.
The financial assistance was presented to Jaya Aditya Shetty who is leaving shortly to Australia to compete in World Athletic Meet.
Bunts Sangh Mumbai® honorary general secretary chartered accountant Sanjeev Shetty, women wing president Ranjani S Hegde, joint secretary Ratna P Shetty, education and community welfare committee chairman Ultoor Mohandas Shetty, youth wing president Abhishek Shetty, Dr Prabhakar Shetty Bola and others were present at the dais.
Mathrabhoomi Co-op Credit Society chairman Ratnakar Shetty Mundkoor and other veterans of Bunts community were also present.
Bunts Sangh executive president advocate R G Shetty welcomed the gathering. Mamata S Rai rendered the prayers and explained about beautician training. Babu Prasad Aras compered the programme. The honorary secretary Ravi R Shetty proposed vote of thanks.
