Mangaluru: Pilikula Nisargadhama organizes wildlife drawings for students

Mangaluru, 10 Oct: The botanical gardens authority of Pilikula, here organized painting of wild animals and fancy dress competition for school and college students at their lounge, here on Wednesday, October 9. It was organized as part of Wildlife Week.
Karkala wild life deputy forest conservator Rutran presided the programme.
Pilikula botanical gardens director H Jayaprakash Bhandary delivered the preliminary address and welcomed the gathering.
Pilikula Nisargadhama CEO Meghana, Dr Akthar Hussein, Dr K V Rao, T Subbayya Shetty, N G Mohan, district Red Cross Society president Shantaram Shetty, Prasad Art Gallery proprietor Koti Prasad Alva were the chief guests of the occasion.
The veteran artist Ganesh Somayaji inaugurated the programme by drawing a picture of tiger.
The artists Sharat Holla, Kamal and colleagues overseen the competitions.
Vinod from Madikeri bagged the first prize in wildlife painting, Karan Satish from Mysuru bagged the second prize and Varada Nayak T P bagged the third prize.
