Mangaluru: Dasara holidays begins from Oct 1 to 15 for Dakshina Kannada schools

Mangaluru, 21 Sep: The Department of Education has informed that all primary and high schools in the district will have Dasara holidays from October 1 to 15.

 

The above applies to all schools and high schools in the district.

 

As the Navaratri festivities begin on September 30 and conclude on October 8 in the city and district, appeals were made to declare the holidays from that date instead of October 6.

 

The changes have been made in the wake of requests made by several including Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath who had even been to Bengaluru to meet the Education Minister in this regard. 

 

As per schedule schools will reopen on October 16 after Dasara holidays.
