Mangaluru: DKMUL donates Rs 30 lac to Karnataka CM’s Flood Relief Fund

Mangaluru, 06 Sep: Dakshina Kannada Milk Producers Union Limited (DKMUL) donated Rs 30 lac to CM’s Flood Relief Fund, at Bengaluru on September 4.
The money was pooled by contributing 1 day salary of individual dairy farmers who supply milk to milk producers’ societies, DKMUL directors and office staff.
DKMUL chairman Raviraj Hegde, vice chairman Prakaschandra Shetty, managing director Dr G V Hegde, directors Divakar Shetty, Narayan Prakash, Padmanabha Shetty Arkaje, Sudhakar Rai, Narasimha Kamat, Smita Shetty and Savita Shetty met Karnataka CM B S Yeddyurappa and handed over the cheque of Rs 30 lac.
DKMUL also donated animal feed to dairy farmers who were affected by recent floods in Mundaje and Mittabagilu in Beltangady taluk. It also donated 9,000 liters of Trupti, UHT milk with 90 days shelf life comes in 180 ml packs total of 50,000 packs and 650 bed sheets to the flood victims of Uttara Karnataka, altogether worth Rs 5.12 lac.
