Udupi: Karkala police crime SI B Laxman no more

Udupi, 05 Sep: B Laxman (58), who was functioning as police sub-inspector (crime) in Kaup station in the district, breathed his last in a private hospital at Mangaluru on Wednesday September 4 evening, after a brief illness.

 

 

He was recently transferred as crime SI at Karkala.

 

Laxman had earlier worked in the town station here, besides Malpe and Brahmavar stations besides Katapadi outpost as assistant sub-inspector. Since the last some days, he had fallen ill and was admitted into a hospital for treatment. He breathed his last without responding to treatment on Wednesday evening.

 

B Laxman was of Puttur origin. During his stint at Kaup police station for five years in crime department, he had cracked a number of complicated criminal cases and had come in for lavish praise from the superiors and public alike. He is survived by wife and a son.
