CCTV camera to be installed on Netravati bridge - MLA Vedavyasa Kamath

Mangaluru, 02 Aug: The city south MLA D Vedavyasa Kamath said that he is mulling over getting a CCTV installed on Netravati bridge, which is on the way to Ullal from the city of Mangaluru and he will speak to the deputy commissioner in this regard in the coming days.

 

 

"Of late, Netravati bridge has become a danger zone. Incidents like suicides are taking place near the bridge. It will be convenient to see the happening immediately after the same has taken place. The time and effort of police department and district administration will not go as a waste as CCTV will give the clue.

 

“In addition, CCTV footage will help the family members and friends of people who disappear from the vicinity of the bridge. On the whole, action will be taken to install the CCTV by keeping the help it will render to the police department," said MLA Vedavyasa Kamath.
