Malali robbery case: cash and weapons seized, arrest three

Mangaluru, 19 Jul: Bajpe Police have arrested three persons in connection with the recent case wherein a private financier was robbed of Rs 2.05 lakhs at Malali by some assailants after threatening him with lethal weapons.
Those arrested are Ashlesh A Kotian of Ulaibettu, Abdul Azeez Naushad of Mulur and Muhammad Mustafa of Kaikamba. Police have seized a cash of Rs 21,800, a bike, three mobile phones, a machete and a knife from them.
A four member gang which came by two bikes had waylaid Senthil Kumar of Maroli on July 14 when he was on way to a site at Malali and robbed the cash which he had. A complaint was lodged in Bajpe police station.
The accused have been produced before court. Search is underway for other accused in this case.
