Anti-plastic drive

Mangaluru, 25 Jun: Mangaluru City Corporation officials on Tuesday conducted raids at shops located in Central Market area and confiscated over 300 kg of plastic items.

The raid was conducted to check the unauthorised sale of plastic items at shops despite a ban on sale and use of plastic.

Officials imposed a fine on shopkeepers violating the rule and even warned that their licenses would be cancelled if they continue to sell plastic items in future.
