• Young footballers showcase passion and love for football at the exhibition match held at Mohun Bagan Ground

Kolkata, 06 Apr: Sunfeast Kolkata School Football League champions, St James School and Mohun Bagan Athletic Club elevated the football experience in Kolkata with unparalleled performances at the exhibition match. As the game concluded today, the boys at St. James School received immense exposure while playing against national level footballers at Mohun Bagan Athletic Club. The football enthusiasts of the state witnessed spectacular performances by talented players from both the teams at the Mohun Bagan Ground. While Mohun Bagan Athletic Club – U 18 team’s defense tackles were strong, Mohun Bagan Athletic Club – U 18 team marched towards victory by a 5-0 goal win. Sunfeast initiated this match with the intent to give young talent a platform, encourage sports in the region and develop an ecosystem for budding football players to explore their talent and skills to become better players.

 

The match saw an incredible game plan where both teams put their best foot forward and performed with utmost adulation for the game. The friendly match showcased the potential of the sport and the reverence for the game among budding players from the state.

 

 

Guest of honor - Babun Banerjee, secretary, Bengal Hockey Association, football secretary of Mohun Bagan Athletic Club and renowned footballers like Monoranjan Bhattacharya, Prasanta Banerjee, Debashish Mukherjee, Hemanta Dorafurther provided encouragement and uplifted the spirits of the young athletes.
