Bantwal: Canara Engg College launch Stem Cell Campaign – Be a hope for Prashant

Bantwal, 30 Mar: The students of Canara Engineering College, Benjanapadav, here launched Stem Cell Campaign in support of the call given by Canara CBSE School, Mangaluru with the slogan, Be a hope for Prashanth. The students come forward to educate youth community to fight against blood cancer.
One-hundred-sixty-five students and teachers enrolled in Stem Cell enrolment campaign undertaken by NSS unit of Canara Engineering College.
The samples taken during the campaign, if qualified will be incorporated in world stem cell donors list, said Shalini Ganbhir, chief of Stem Cell Registry India.
The student co-ordinators Vaishak Shaji and Shilpa Yogish, NSS head Narayanaswamy were present.
Thirty-seven-year-old Prashanth, physical education teacher of Canara CBSE School was diagnosed to suffer from blood cancer that was the inspiration for Canara Group of education institutions to embark on Stem Cell Campaign. They aspire to save Prashanth who is battling for life.
Those who wish to enroll for stem cell, can visit Bhuvanendra auditorium, Canara CBSE School, Mangaluru on Saturday, March 30 from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
