Mumbai: JAVAB – ray of hope for Bunts community: Jayaprakash Shetty

Mumbai, 08 Jan: Juhu Andheri Versova Ville Parle Association of Bunts (JAVAB) organized 22nd annual get-together at the grounds of Lokandwala Complex Residents Association, Andheri (West), here, on Saturday, January 5.

 

JAVAB president Jayaprakash B Shetty and other office bearers inaugurated the programme, after the procession of tableaus depicting Bunts culture accompanied by traditional music.

 

Jayaprakash felicitated JAVAB past president and Vishwat Chemicals managing director B Vivek Shetty, Aryabhata awardee Hurlady Raghuveer Shetty and Tunga Hospitality chairman Rajesh B Shetty during the programme.

 

 

World Bunts Federation chairman Aikala Harish Shetty, Bantara Sangh Mumbai president Padmanabha S Payyade, Bombay Bunts Association president advocate Subash B Shetty, Bunts Justice Committee honorary president M D Shetty and veterans of Bunts community were present.

 

In his presidential address, Jayaprakash said that JAVAB that was founded 22 years ago has been serving the community by offering social, education, medical and other social welfare services. The youth and women wing are the real hope for bunts community.

 

The past president B Shivaram Naik said that JAVAB is the premier association of Bunts community serving them for over 2 decades.

 

JAVAB vice president chartered accountant I R Shetty, honorary treasurer Ashok Kumar R Shetty, joint secretary T Vishwanat Shetty, joint treasurer H Shekar Hegde, cultural Committee chairman Madhukar A Shetty and others were present.

 

Variety cultural events were held after the stage programme.

 

Jyoti R Shetty and Sujata Shetty rendered the prayers. I R Shetty welcomed the gathering. The honorary general secretary K Kishore Kumar briefed about the activities of Association. Kavita I R Shetty compered the programme. The honorary treasurer Ashok Kumar Shetty proposed vote of thanks.

 

Bunts special delicacies prepared by JAVAB former office bearer Manish Caterers proprietor Vaman S Shetty was served to the gathering.
