Mumbai: Delegation of Railway Yatri Sangh Borivali (W) meets KR MD, urges for better services

Mumbai, 28 Dec: The delegation of Railway Yatri Sangh Borivali (West), here met Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) managing director Sanjay Gupta, at Konkan Bhavan, Belapur, Navi Mumbai, here, on Wednesday, December 26, urging better facilities for inter-city passengers.
The delegation led by Railway Yatri Sangh Borivali honorary president Shanker B Shetty presented memorandum to Gupta seeking better facilities to Mangaluru bound passengers.
The president Uday Shetty, vice president Premanat P Kotian, joint secretary Rajit M Suvarna, Jaya A Shetty and Konkan Railway (KR) PRO Girish Karandekar were present.
The delegation urged Konkan Railway authorities to increase the speed of Mangaluru Express and Matsyaganda train services using latest technology, to install CCTV cameras in crime-prone areas as the incidents of looting and pickpockets are rampant, to assign RPF personnel in compartments in order to restrict the general ticket holders taking seats in reserved compartments at least up till Ratnagiri railway station, to approve halt for Mangaluru Express train at Mulky railway station, to install new rakes for passengers comforts.
Gupta assured the delegation to fulfill their demands after thorough review. He said, ‘Konkan Railway is committed for the safe and comfortable journey of its passengers.’
